I used to call on Dahlgren Naval Surface Weapons station on the banks of the Potomac. They had 16" guns mounted on land which they occasionally test fired.
Their shooting range was 50 miles of the Potomac, downstream from DC. I thought there were better targets, but I was not in charge.
Eventually they stopped firing them altogether as the buildings nearby were being shaken apart by the forces unleashed when the guns fired.
That, and it is an extremely dangerous business.
But I think I have missed the point of this post, which, no doubt, has to do with Romney's running mate.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful stuff. I am really impressed with these works. Thanks for taking time to post this one. I appreciate it. web design ventura
I realize that there's a lot of chemistry going on here - but the ballistics is very impressive too.
