I meant to link to blog comment where a semi-famous blogger made a stupid comment about violins playing in unison but after a diligent search, it appears that her ex-husband obliterated all comments on his blog.
I was 16 going on 17 and wore my hair in a flip the year he arrived (1970) to play to a packed college fieldhouse in my neck of the woods. Thing is, in the years that followed, I also saw Gordon Lightfoot, Harry Chapin, and Tom Waits in concert at the same location and am no longer absolutely certain I actually went to see him or only wished I did. Whatever the case, I do remember setting my hair in giant rollers to achieve the look, while singing along to his records. I had them all, up to "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore".
