People Start Politics...People Can Stop It

Tony Cody, the actor in that famous commercial, claimed Cherokee heritage. In 1996, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported his Sicilian heritage, but Cody denied it. He lived all his adult life claiming he was American Indian and supported related causes.

  1. ...and supported related causes.

I think it's okay to talk the talk as long as you walk the walk.

  2. Jason, I put this up like this thinking "see this guy did it then" but I think you found the key difference.

    Thanks for the comment.

  3. I remember a black guy, born Spencer Watts, who always wanted to be in the Italian Mafia. He legally changed his name to Scougeoni Platerno and had an I (heart) Italy tattoo with a map of italy drilled into his arm. It didn't show up well because he was black, but he still had the ink. He hung around with some Gambino Family kids in NY, NY. They knocked over a Genovese Family operation and fled to California. Because it wasn't a sanctioned robbery, the Gambino Family had to 'make it right'. They killed Spencer Watts (Platerno) in Barstow and dumped his body by a railway siding on Memorial Day 1994. The Gambino Family sons were spared. Goes to show you that blood is thicker than water.

  4. PS - I think that your new personal avatar is far more representative than your previous one.
