First New Day In The House Of The Rising Sun

The days are getting longer now--can you feel it or is it too soon? Temperature is a lagging indicator so it may be a while before the frigid days pass us by.

  1. I'm stoked! I look forward to this day every December. I feel lighter just knowing the days will not getting any darker or shorter for a long time.

    We once again picked up flowering bulbs (85 this time) at 75% off while getting the Christmas tree two weeks ago, and had a warm enough day to get them all into the not-yet-frozen ground. In 3-4 months, they'll be blooming.

    I have big plans for gardening this year as well. I cleared several square yards of arable space.
