Cold Iron

GOLD is for the mistress -- silver for the maid --
Copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade.
"Good!" said the Baron, sitting in his hall,
"But Iron -- Cold Iron -- is master of them all."

from Cold Iron by Rudyard Kipling (1910)

  1. This one is new to me. Thanks El Pollo.

  2. You're welcome , MamaM. I was sorting through some old paper files and ran across it. I sort of rediscovered it myself as I had never read the entire poem.
