      I thought that about the Aqua Velvets, as did others.

      Señor Doe, it just occurred to me that you might have been referring to the "James Bond Theme" which I would count as vestigial--it remains imbedded in current movie themes--and only there, frozen in place since 1962.

      The Aqua Velvets were more contemporary and extended the genre.

    The tunes make me want to hang-ten on the surf out at San Onofre.

      I haven't to San Onofre yet this year. The water's still too chilly. But it'a a favorite.
