The Problem is...

...playing the role of idiot-savant is sustainable--sort of like bookending things. Wouldn't it be nice to be all things between?  Easier said than done. Conservation of something demands that moving to a more well-rounded person must involve sucking inwards from both sides of the bookends. That sucks.


  1. Becoming a more well-rounded person merely requires more beer and mashed potatoes.

  2. Agree with Troop. Just suck the marrow from more (supposedly) mundane experiences. It works.

    No need to presume the outliers can be made to make up the middle. Maybe they can in some way, or help to draw the connections, but only experience can tell.
